Blackbird Doughnuts:
Counter Staff
Blackbird Doughnuts is hiring for full and part-time counter staff at ALL locations.
Pay starts at $18 per hour - $6.75 base pay + tips to always reach $18 per hour
Job includes but is not limited to:

greeting customers in a hospitable manner
-
describing doughnuts and selection menu
-
preparing doughnut, coffee, and sandwich orders
-
making coffee + tea (espresso bars at Newton + Beacon Hill locations)
-
cleaning and maintaining the shops (doing dishes)
-
trash removal
-
Preparing and packaging food products
Requirements:

lift at least 25lbs
-
stand on feet for at least 6 hours

Blackbird Doughnuts:
Retail Training Manager, Zone 1
Blackbird Doughnuts is hiring for a full-time retail training manager to oversee three of our seven locations (Newton, Beacon Hill, and Brighton). The position will include but not be limited to; hiring, staff development/training, essential HR, ordering, store + cleanliness, food safety, shop appearance, menu maintenance, sales, budget, and facility maintenance.
General Responsabilities:

Alerting the GM of Retail or HR to any hiring needs
-
Training new hires
-
Providing staff with new menu training material
-
Ensuring spec and allergen accuracy to staff
-
Continual training of employees
-
Following HR processes for progressive discipline
-
Placing supply and or food/beverage orders
-
Maintaining cleanliness standards for the front and back of the house
-
Ensuring all food is being stored, handled, and prepared per MA state and city regulations
-
Ensuring shops are stocked appropriately
-
Maintaining product quality
-
Always be prepared for health inspections
-
Ensuring menus are reflecting accurately (toast, app, website, TVs, website)
-
Hit sales goals as determined by the GM of Retail and Director of Operations.

Maintaining food, beverage, and supply budget as set by the GM of Retail
-
Reporting any equipment issues to the facilities manager and ensuring a timely maintenance schedule

Sally's Sandwiches:
Line Cook
Sally's Sandwiches (both locations - below) is looking for line cooks. Pay starts at $16.80 per hour and benefits are available for full-time employees.
Job includes but is not limited to:

light dish duty

allergen and ingredient knowledge of all menu items

following opening and closing procedures
Requirements:

be available as early as 7am

just close 2-3 shifts per week (7pm)
